“I’m falling in love damn it,” he said.
“Oh that, (sigh) me too, it happens” I said.
“It’s like some high school shit. I talk till she goes to sleep. We discuss future fantasy dreams. I spilled my guts. I got a reality check,” he paused…
I continued “…I don’t think we are in high school anymore Toto.”
“I cried,” he muttered.
“It’s just high school type stuff,” he said.
“The huge smiles. The flutters when you hear that special voice. The hope and happiness. Man, that stuff is deep in high school. It’s the first time you start having the gushy deep feelings,” I said.
He nodded and said, “yes… Exactly that.”
“I think in high school they call it ‘puppy love’,” I mentioned. “And in your 30’s, they call it ‘real’.”
